The 2009 growing season was tricky with drought conditions, low yields and storms during harvest. Yields were down across the board, thanks to a mixture of drought and some early season frost damage, which delayed vine growth. While the slow start made 2009 look like it might be a late harvest, the vines caught up quickly, thanks to some heat spikes in August and September. During harvest there were a number of small storm that delayed picking, however the weather cleared up quickly and gave way to a 2 ton per acre harvest.
We're extremely proud of our inaugural vintage and are very excited to share our wine with you.
