Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to honor America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the non-profit foundation has developed and expanded programs and resources that assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives.
In support of the foundation's mission, we blended some of our best Syrah and Zinfandel grapes with a supporting cast of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Alicante Bouschet grapes from the 2011 vintage to create this special wine.

Tasting Notes
For us at Distant Cellars the Tribute blend is one that we hold near and dear. We only select the finest lots of grapes and pay special attention to make this wine big, approachable, complex, and something we are proud to sell. The 2011 Tribute Red Blend is a unique blend predominantly of Zinfandel and Syrah with Alicante Bouschet, Grenache and Mourvèdre playing supporting roles and adding unique nuances to this big and beautiful wine. The nose opens up with aromas of cherry, leather and spice. On the palate, medium tannins and balanced acidity brings out big bold flavors with plenty of red fruit, black currant, plum, and tobacco. The finish is long with hints of vanilla.
